How to calculate your monthly diaper needs

Mustafa Belanlı · Founder 07.10.2026

Multiply your baby’s actual daily diaper use by the number of days you are planning for. Then account for suitable diapers already at home and the number in your chosen pack. This gives you a monthly diaper plan based on your own family’s routine.

Everyday care feels more fluid when the small details are in place. Planning diapers is one of those details. Begin with your own daily use, including every change your baby needs.

How many diapers do you need in a month?

Note the number you use over several days. Divide the total by the number of days to find a planning average. Multiply that average by the length of the period you want to cover, updating the calculation as your baby’s needs change.

Worked example: Suppose you observe an average of 5 diapers a day. For a 30-day period, 5 × 30 = 150 diapers. This number is used only to demonstrate the calculation. Your baby’s care routine determines the actual number you use.

How do four weeks differ from a calendar month?

Four weeks contain 28 days. Calendar months vary in length. Thinking about a recurring box in days makes the calculation easier to follow.

Using the same example of 5 diapers a day:
3 weeks / 21 days: 105 diapers
4 weeks / 28 days: 140 diapers
5 weeks / 35 days: 175 diapers

These examples illustrate delivery-interval calculations rather than a recommended changing frequency. Base the plan on every change your baby needs, and fit the box around that routine.

How do you convert diapers into packs?

Divide the number of diapers you need by the count in your chosen size’s pack. Round up to the next whole pack when planning an order. KOZAMAN’s product page shows both the pack and box count for each size.

For example, a KOZAMAN size 3 pack contains 38 diapers. Four packs contain 152. You can cover the example’s 150-diaper requirement with four packs. Repeat the calculation using the relevant pack count whenever you choose a different size.

How do diapers already at home affect the plan?

Count the diapers that are still the right size for your baby. Subtract this quantity from the total calculated for your planning period. The result is the number to consider for your next box or packs.

For a 150-diaper period with 30 suitable diapers already at home, your new-purchase calculation begins at 120. Convert that figure into whole packs using your chosen size’s pack count. As a size change approaches, consider the stock at home together with our diaper size guide.

How long might a four-pack box last?

Divide the total number of diapers in the box by your own daily average to estimate a duration. The example’s 152-diaper box corresponds to roughly 30 days at 5 diapers a day. Actual use determines the duration.

When planning delivery, consider suitable diapers already at home, a possible size change, and the preparation and delivery information shown during the order process. We discuss KOZAMAN’s 3-, 4- and 5-week options in how a baby diaper subscription works.

A plan that follows your family’s rhythm

Keep three details up to date: your daily use, suitable diapers at home and the contents of your next box. Together, they provide a practical starting point for planning around your family.
